This family-run, authentic restaurant is one of our favourite dining experiences in Milan. Order the: - Spaghetti al limone (simple but perfect) - Veal Milanese (pounded thin with just the right amount of crispy breading) - Eggs with butter and bottarga (rich and briny) - Chicory salad with anchovy sauce (an unexpected combo that works) - and end with any of the desserts (the strawberry puree with icecream is chef’s kiss though) What truly makes this place though is how warm and unpretentious it feels. You leave feeling like you ate at someone's home, not a restaurant. Go hungry and go with people you love!!
Very tiny establishment. If u looking for mama’s home cooked yes they got it right. The limoncello pasta was great but good to share all the dishes. The zucchini with mustard sauce was a surprise and very nice
Such a wonderful experience in Milan! Small menu but The best lemon pasta I’ve ever had in my life! Very small but it deserves to wait a little bit! Frutta di bosco tart was incredible!
A friend who frequents went ahead of opening at 6.45pm to wait for a table because the restaurant is tiny and there is no reservation system. They started seating people at 7pm and we were seated as a party of 5. My highlights were lemon + pepper pasta Table loved the bottarga salad The entire space is quaint, the family run restaurant feels like ure in someone’s dining room. If u expect too notch restaurant style service this place is not for u. Instead, it is a warm, fast paced but not rushed, no nonsense amazing good + ambience space. Come early to get a table in order to not be disappointed.
We had one of the best casual dining experiences at La Latteria and it’s exactly the kind of place locals love and visitors are lucky to discover. It’s a small, very casual neighbourhood restaurant—one of those “if you know, you know” spots in Milan. There are only a few tables, so it’s best to arrive early and expect to wait a little for a seat. The food is simple, authentic Italian cooking done really well, with fresh ingredients and dishes that change regularly. Everything we had was delicious. If you’re looking for a relaxed, truly local dining experience in Milan, La Latteria is absolutely worth the wait.
