A tourist trap at its finest. The waiters get you in with their hospitality, you sit down, order food that is already overpriced with a hope that it is going to be good and it is a disappointment. The classic milanese risotto was just awful. It was tasteless and honestly looke like someone has eaten it already, the rice was undercooked as well. The spaces in between the tables were more or less 3-5cm, so basically you’re dining with strangers.
On one side we had a great service - even there was no table available at the moment they give you a glass of prosecco and in few minutes create a space for you. On second hand you feel like at street market. Even the waiters are trying to be nice, they are very chaotic and try to force you something more so you will spend more. Also they were fast and not in a good way, because you had a feeling you bother them when you were thinking what to order and it looks like they pushed you to be gone in an hour so they could have another free table for new guests. They know how to make delicious seafood - I had lobster and it was amazing. Yet my boyfriend had lasagne and it was the worst lasagnes he ever had (better you can find in the supermarket). Also Aperol was quite weak. So even I personally had a good meal, I cannot give them better review. If you go to Italian restaurant and they cannot do traditional pasta and Aperol, it says a lot..
Still dreaming of their truffle pasta! They had a whole truffle menu. This is what I’d choose from this place. The rest of the dishes we ordered I wasn’t a fan of. We also had fish Tatar, not good. Artichoke salad, nah. And charcuterie, nah. Wine, nah. Meatballs, nah. And other starters I wasn’t a fan of. But the truffle pasta omg. The service was incredible, welcoming, warm and felt like family.
Fine, decent restaurant in Brere. The vibrant atmosphere and sitting alfresco makes for delicious foods. I had the Sea Bass with a rosota. Just fabulous. House wine, simple, but very good. The wait staff are very nice.
A restaurant that took me back to Italy 25 years ago. A family-run, cozy place with soul — and football at heart. The food is incredibly delicious — I’d say 10/10. The service is typical of the time before global tourism and the internet. Stylish, in a truly Italian way. It reminded me of the movie Goodfellas by Scorsese. If you place a big order, you’re very welcome. If you just mess around with one Aperol and a bruschetta, you’re not really wanted. I’m extremely satisfied and impressed. There are hardly any places like this left in big tourist cities. Sadly, younger people might not find the charm or appreciate this kind of restaurant 🙂 We will definitely come back every time we return to Milan. The food: Oysters – oysters as oysters should be, but very fresh 🙂 Octopus salad – very well balanced, perfectly seasoned, and extremely tasty. Seafood pasta – lots of seafood, amazing tomato sauce, superb flavor. Ribeye steak – tender and delicious, and the potatoes on the side took me straight back to my childhood. Tiramisu – top tier.
