First I have to say that the staff is amazing and I love coming here. Everyone is so kind and professional. However, the portions and brunch options went down exponentially. For 30 euros per person they did introduce some extra stuff like dessert and drinks so it does make some sense, but the choice for main is very limited and it is difficult to understand when brunch is obligatory. Like today I paid 30€ to eat eggs, bacon and avocado, but table next to me chose whatever they wanted from whole menu. Also, I picked up Cesar salad to go, before it was a much bigger portion and you realize it immediately when you see the package. My husband was shocked when I brought it home. In last 2 years, the prices got increased (like everywhere) so it’s normal, but they are obviously saving on portion sizes (very weird for an American restaurant) and food choices, you can see a lot of economy of scale. This kind of strategy makes you loose loyal clients who’ve been coming for years.
Decided to try the carrot cake thinking it would remind me of the States… nope! The cake itself was tasty and moist as one would expect… but if you’re expecting sweetened cream cheese or buttercream frosting on this cake, you’ll be sorely disappointed. It’s plain Philadelphia cream cheese on top -not even sweet! The service was nice, but I’m honestly hesitant to go back..
