Had a lovely evening at cactus! We both had the vegetarian tasting menu and it left us full and with nothing missing. Every plate was beautifully created, we especially loved the potato ravioli and the tomato-mozzarella main. The service was attentive and very friendly, with even the owner coming to our table. I would 100% recommend
Cactus Kitchen & Bar was a great casual lunch spot in the Brera area of Milan. We walked in with no reservation and they were very accommodating and welcoming from the start. The servers were young, friendly, and attentive throughout our lunch. The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfect for a relaxed midday meal while exploring Milan. We especially enjoyed the creative presentation and fun atmosphere of the restaurant. Overall, a solid lunch option in Brera if you’re looking for something casual, trendy, and easygoing.
The service was great, friendly and attentive. The two stars are unfortunately for the food. The chai latte tasted like milk, barely any chai flavor. The avocado salmon waffle was too much and too little at the same time. The waffle was too sweet for this combo, so much salmon it was too salty and then little flavor in the avocado paste. If the flavors were more balanced then maybe the amount of everything wouldn’t be a problem but here it was just too much and little flavor besides saltiness. The bathroom was dirty even though our first impression was that the place is on a more fancy side of lunch spots. Prices were quite high too and I wouldn’t say it’s worth it. The place has a lot of potential because of its location, interior and good staff but if it comes to the food and the drinks it could really improve.
Beautiful dining experience — our favorite dish was the artichoke one which the chef was able to make vegan. I actually really appreciated that almost all the dishes could be made vegan. Our waiter played a big part in our lovely experience 😇
