We visited without a reservation and luckily got a table right away. The restaurant has a lovely old Italian atmosphere. I highly recommend the eggplant appetizer and especially the saffron risotto with veal marrow—it was the best dish we tried. The service was polite, and overall it was a great experience. ⭐️
Booked a table here as the concept and images seemed intriguing It serves some reasonable comfort foods - so no matter what the hype says - understand it to be what it is and then it’s not too bad. Average food- you have many places around Milan that serve tastier albeit less visually appealing food in my opinion. We had the flan and cheese plate for starters - both were ok. The purple rice was also ok - pretty bland - and what you’d expect in a home on a lazy day. The other stuff was really not good. Service was also slow and almost brusque Even the tiramisu which was much bandied about - was no more than average. We did not enjoy the experience at all
A bit overated, we ordered: the following appertizer. Mondeghili: milanese style beef and pork meatballs with homemade mayo (G) - Taste excellent. Variety of Branzi cheese with homemade jam - nothing special. “Cacio e pepe”: homemade spaghetti with cheese and pepper (G) - not very tasty. “Bruscitt”: stewed beef bites with polenta or mashed potatoes - not tasty at all, just like some pulled-beef. We really do not feel its good. Maybe it does not fit our taste. Oven baked veal with potatoes - Not fit our taste. Maybe someone else will think its good. “Orecchio d’elefante”: milanese style thin breaded veal (G) - this dish is the 2nd best in our meal. However, it also does not fit our taste. Stir-fried vegetables - quite ordinary We also ordered the 2 items from special menu. Unfortunately, we do not find it meets our taste. Generally speaking, the service is good, staff are friendly. Just it is not our expectation. I hope everyone else will find it is good.
Dining at Risoelatte Duomo was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. The moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warm smiles and a friendly greeting from the staff, which instantly set the tone for a wonderful evening. The atmosphere is cozy, charming, and has a nostalgic touch that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a traditional Italian home. The food was nothing short of amazing. Each dish we tried was full of authentic flavors, clearly prepared with fresh ingredients and a lot of care. The starters were flavorful and perfectly balanced, the main courses were rich and satisfying, and the desserts were simply delightful. My personal favorites were the creamy risotto and the perfectly fried arancini, which were both cooked to perfection. Every bite felt like a taste of true Italian tradition. The service was impeccable attentive without being intrusive. The team was more than happy to explain the menu, offer recommendations, and ensure that everything was exactly to our liking. They genuinely made us feel welcome and appreciated as guests. Overall, Risoelatte Duomo is the kind of place that leaves a lasting impression not just for its delicious food, but for its warm hospitality and inviting atmosphere. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Duomo area who is looking for an authentic, heartwarming Italian dining experience.
We had a lovely time with my family. Place is very cosy and warm, tastefully decorated to the 60-s vibe, feels like someone's home. Staff is fantastic and welcoming; a nice variety of Italian dishes to chose from - each one with it's own story. It is very popular yet small, so make sure to reserve ahead of time.
