My husband and I had a fairly enjoyable meal at Langoustino Bistrot. We ordered oysters, amberjack sashimi, the gazpacho, the grilled scallops, and the vegetable tempura. The restaurant also provided a pomodoro puree with clams as an amuse. The pomodoro, the amberjack, and the gazpacho with grilled langoustines were standouts. The gazpacho was simply divine. The scallops were good but a bit of a let down as it was 4 very small scallops for €33. The vegetables tempura was simply perplexing. It was more like fried veggie sticks. Our first few dishes came in a normal timely manner but then it seems our main was lost and we sat unattended for 45+ mins. The restaurant did comp us dessert as an apology but it was a bit strange as all the tables around us, who were seated after us, finished their meals and we still had not received the scallops or tempura. Cocktails and the whole menu are definitely on the pricey side. Not a casual meal and they do have a dress code.
The tasting menu which cost 120 euros was a culinary experience that was well worth it. Great service, elevated setting and tasty seafood dishes. I’d recommend for a dinner date or classy evening night out!
As this fine dining restaurant specializes in seafood cuisine, We made a reservation before arriving in Milano. From the moment we entered, we could feel the sophisticated atmosphere of a professional fine dining establishment. The staff were highly professional, communicated well in English, and responded clearly and helpfully to all of our questions and requests. The Polpo e patata was exceptionally tender, to the point that it almost melted in the mouth. The Carpaccio tonno melanzane offered a harmonious combination of flavors that was both refined and memorable. Although the Vongole spaghetti tasted different from what we are used to in Korea, it authentically represented traditional Italian cuisine. I dined outdoors, but the experience was somewhat affected by other guests smoking nearby. If you are considering outdoor seating, this is something worth keep in mind.
This was definitely a highlight of my trip to Milan. The vibe, service, and flavors were all great. It was a bit pricey, but the food was delicious overall. The dishes were simple yet refined, and you could really taste the richness of the ingredients.
We were recommended by our friends from Milan to try Langosteria, and we’re absolutely in love with this place! Fresh seafood, fabulous pasta and amazing salt baked fish. Will definitely be back every time we’re in Milan!
