Description
This guided itinerary takes you through the paths and monuments of Milan’s Monumental Cemetery, a place where history and memory converge. The tour begins at the tomb of Alessandro Manzoni, author of The Betrothed, and continues to the resting place of Luca Beltrami, the architect behind Milan’s major redesign.
You will visit mausoleums of the Campari family, known for the Milanese aperitivo, and the Falk family, pioneers of the steel industry. The tour includes artwork by Giò Pomodoro and Lucio Fontana, artists who used sculpture to evoke emotion.
