Ancient Mediolanum, one of the most important cities of the Roman Empire, is still hidden beneath the streets of modern Milan. But what did the capital of the West look like? Where were the emperor's palace, the circus, and the large public buildings located? During this itinerary, we will follow the traces left by the Romans among monuments, archaeological finds, and places that are often little known. Among emperors, chariot races, mosaics, and early Christians, we will reconstruct the face of a surprising, powerful, and monumental Milan.
