Description

The tour begins in Piazza Duomo, where you will admire Italy’s largest church, known for its gothic architecture and six-century construction. Using pre-booked skip-the-line tickets, you’ll access the Duomo Cathedral and its rooftop terrace via elevator.

You will learn about the Duomo’s history, including the unique law from the 1930s restricting building heights to below the Duomo’s highest point, and its almost 3,400 statues. The visit continues to the historic Piazza della Scala, home to Italy's most famous opera house, and the nearby Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II—a 19th-century shopping gallery with luxury boutiques housed beneath an ornate glass roof.

The tour concludes with a wine and food tasting led by a specialist. You’ll sample three seasonal Italian wines from renowned regions such as Tuscany and Piemonte while sampling a large platter of traditional Italian cold cuts, cheeses, and focaccia. The guide will explain how to identify wines by aroma, flavor, color, and regional classifications.
