Description

Did you know there's a whole village in Lombardy built by a single entrepreneur for his workers? Houses all the same, streets as straight as a ruler, a theater, a school, even a swimming pool and a monumental cemetery: a small world born from a social utopia that's now recognized by UNESCO. From the panoramic terrace, we'll discover the fascinating symmetry of this ideal city, and then lose ourselves among its most emblematic places: the workers' homes, the washhouse, the after-work center, the clinic, and the elegant villas of the managers. Until you reach the majestic Crespi mausoleum, which still dominates the monumental cemetery with its almost fairy-tale grandeur. A journey into the heart of an era when work wasn't just about toil, but also about vision and the future. An experience that'll spark questions and curiosity: was it really a paradise for the workers, or a 'showcase city' designed to control them? We'll check out: the lookout point, the workers' houses, the managers' villas, the church, the school, the factory, and the cemetery The tour will take place exclusively outdoors. Meeting point: In front of the church, Piazza Cleopatra Bagnarelli, 24042 Crespi d'Adda BG, Italy Tour duration: 1 hour and 30 minutes All our tours are led by licensed tour guides Please arrive 10 minutes before the start of the tour.
