Description
This private day trip begins with hotel pickup in Milan at your preferred time. A professional driver will meet you and take you in a luxury Mercedes car, equipped with air conditioning and Wi-Fi. The journey starts with a drive to Como city, notable for its historic center and lakeside promenade.
In Como, explore landmarks such as the Duomo of Como, the last Gothic cathedral built in Italy, as well as Piazza San Fedele, Via Vitani, and Piazza Cavour. Como’s history spans before the Roman Empire and includes rule by Italian, German, and Austrian emperors due to its strategic location.
Lunch is arranged at one of the lake view restaurants, such as Crotto dei Platani or Villa D’Este, the latter known for its Renaissance interiors and gardens. Villa D’Este has welcomed noble families since the 15th century. Reservations must be confirmed in advance and are subject to availability.
After lunch, enjoy a scenic drive along the lake to visit one of the grand villas of Lake Como, such as Villa Carlotta or Villa Balbianello (subject to availability). These villas feature neoclassical design, symmetrical gardens, fountains, sculptures, and expansive grounds. Only a few villas are open to the public, offering insight into historic elite Italian lifestyles.
Next, take a ferry from Tremezzo to Bellagio. Spend free time exploring Bellagio’s cobblestone streets and shops. After your visit, your private driver will return you to Milan around 20:00. Alternatively, you may choose to stay in Bellagio for dinner with an extra charge for the driver's waiting time (€80 per hour), and return to Milan at your convenience.
