Important Information
- Take a train from Milan or any station in Lombardy to Como. From the lakeside, board the public ferry to explore Bellagio at your own pace. Afterward, take the ferry to the Tremezzo or Villa Carlotta pier to visit the famous botanical gardens and museum. For your journey home, you can return to Como by boat or cross the lake to Varenna to catch a direct train to Milan. This all in one ticket ensures a stress free day trip with full flexibility. Check boat schedules in advance to plan your return to Milan.
Travel from Milan or any station in Lombardy. Take the RE7 or R17 from Milano Cadorna to Como Lago (60 minutes) or the RE80 from Milano Centrale to Como San Giovanni (39 minutes). Alternatively, use the S11 from Milano Porta Garibaldi (60 minutes). All stations are a short walk from the lake and ferry departure piers.
Visiting hours: Villa Carlotta is open Monday through Sunday from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM (last entrance at 6:00 PM).
