- Take a train from Milan or any station in Lombardy to Bellano Tartavalle Terme. It is a 7 minute walk to the Bellano Gorge, one of the most famous natural sites on Lake Como. After exploring the canyon, walk a few minutes to the Giancarlo Vitali Museum and San Nicolao Contemporary Art Museum, both included in your ticket. This itinerary is flexible as services are available throughout the day without fixed time limits. Check train schedules in advance and wear comfortable shoes for the walking paths. Return to Milan for a stress free day trip.
Travel tip: From any station in Lombardy, take a train on the RE8 MILAN-LECCO-SONDRIO-TIRANO line and get off at BELLANO TARTAVALLE TERME. Example: From Milano Centrale, the journey takes 1 hour and 9 minutes.
Visiting hours: The Bellano Gorge, the Giancarlo Vitali Museum, and the San Nicolao Contemporary Art Museum are open during the following hours: Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
