Description
Explore the Alpine landscape by bus and train on a multi-stop trip from Como to St. Moritz and Tirano. Ride in a panoramic viewing carriage on board the Bernina Express, traveling past the Morteratsch Glacier and the mountain pass. Enjoy free time in St. Moritz and Tirano to explore on your own.
Depart from Como in the morning by bus and enjoy views of Lake Como along the way to the cosmopolitan town of St. Moritz. Take advantage of free time for a scenic walk along the lake, to shop, or try sweets at one of the local patisseries (costs not included).
In the afternoon, head to the train station and take a seat in one of the exclusive panoramic carriages of the Bernina Express, bound for Tirano. Travel through the enchanted landscape of the big glacier of Morteratsch, then cross the mountain pass at 2,253 meters.
Pass through Poschiavo before reaching Tirano. Spend free time in Tirano exploring independently. Visit must-see highlights like the Sanctuary of the Holy Virgin before getting back on the bus to return to Como, with arrival expected in the late evening.

From late October to late February, visibility of the landscape from the train windows may be reduced in the afternoon due to earlier sunset times. That said, the scenery and the train journey are extraordinary in every season
