Description

We will embark on a bike tour covering a total of approximately 20 km (12.4 miles), starting from Bellinzago Lombardo and cycling at a leisurely pace along the Naviglio Martesana cycle path. You will have the opportunity to admire the agricultural landscape east of Milan and learn about the historic sites we will encounter along the way, such as the period villas of Inzago and Cassano d'Adda Castle, along with its historic villas. You will learn how the irrigation network fed by the Naviglio works and discover the operation of the hydraulic structures invented by Leonardo da Vinci. We will reach the Adda River and, if you wish, we can continue along the river to Fara Gera d'Adda. The route is safe and flat, almost entirely on a bike path, and suitable for everyone.
