The location is super convenient—you’re literally 20 seconds from the Loreto metro entrance, and walking to Central Station only takes about 20 minutes. Getting in was easy since they send a video beforehand showing exactly which building to look for and what buzzer to press. Check-in was friendly, and they gave me the entry codes right away. I was in a 7-bed male dorm that was actually very clean, with comfortable beds and good AC. But the way they handle the mornings completely ruined the stay. Checkout is advertised as 10am, but the staff treat 8am like it's time to get everyone out. Every single morning of my four-day stay, they let themselves into the dorm at 8am to see who had left and start stripping beds, while simultaneously firing up the vacuum out in the corridors. If you get in late at night hoping for a full night's sleep, forget it. One morning I stepped out of the shower room at 8:30am in just a towel, only to find my dorm door propped wide open while the cleaning was going on outside. There are also a few annoying design flaws and frankly, some blatant false advertising. There’s absolutely zero shelf space in the showers, meaning you have to dump your clean clothes and toiletries straight on the wet floor. The lockers have a really weird, unique design. I brought two different types of locks with me and neither fit properly, and they felt flimsy enough that you could probably force them open anyway. You'll likely end up having to buy a lock from them, which is especially frustrating because their own website highlights "reviews" claiming they provide free locks, free towels, toiletries, bike hire, and breakfast. Literally none of this is true. The biggest issue, though, is the tourist tax. They charged me €9.50 a night, which is ridiculous. The official 2026 Milan tax rate for a youth hostel is only €3.00, meaning this place is clearly registered as a B&B or short-term rental. It’s a massive rip-off to be forced to pay a premium B&B tax—especially for a place that has "B&B" in the name but doesn't actually offer the breakfast they advertise—just to have the staff prop your door open and run vacuums outside your room at 8am.
The accommodation is very beautiful, clean, pleasantly scented, and safe. I really appreciated these aspects, which are definitely a strong point of the property. However, during my stay, a member of the cleaning staff entered the room without knocking and behaved in a somewhat intrusive way, also asking some personal questions, including questions about religion, which I found rather inappropriate. This affected my sense of privacy a little. I would suggest paying greater attention to these aspects, in order to ensure better respect for guests’ privacy and a more professional approach. In addition, the room door is quite noisy when opened, and despite the high floor, street noise can still be heard in the room. Overall, the experience was positive, and all the other staff members were polite and professional.
Had a fantastic stay here. It might have been the cleanest hostel I’ve ever stayed at! Modern renovations inside and very safe and secure! Check in was also very easy online. Highly recommend this hostel.
Watch out! You have to check in before 7pm otherwise there is no staff around, so read the emails they send you thoroughly! You get two codes, for the main doors and the one to your dorm. I only booked one night in a female dormitory and I was pleasantly surprised. The contact via WhatsApp beforehand was incredible and the staff super friendly and helpful. The bathroom was extremely clean and not what I expected from a hostel at all. I can really recommend, the value for money is great! Keep up the good work and thanks to the amazing staff!
