ChatGPT gave us three recommendations for places in Milan with a strong tequila selection, and Rita’s Tiki Room was our final stop of the night. It also ended up being the best stop. From the moment we walked in, the energy felt right. The bar was lively without feeling chaotic, the crowd was beautiful and stylish, the music matched the atmosphere, and the space had that cool late-night Milan vibe. What really made the experience special was the service. The bartenders were welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely interested in helping us discover something good. Lorenzo took care of us and knew his tequila. We told him we wanted to taste a few good bottles and compare them, and he guided us through the selection with confidence. A lot of the better tequila bottles are tucked away behind other bottles, so you may not be able to see the full collection. Be sure to ask the bartender what they have and let them curate a tasting for you. We ordered Fortaleza Blanco, Tequila Ocho Blanco, and Don Fulano 50, with two pours of each so we could compare them together. The Fortaleza Blanco was a great way to start. To my palate, it had a rich cooked-agave character with earthy notes, pepper, and a smooth finish. It tasted traditional and full of personality. You could really taste the agave, and it had enough depth to sip slowly and appreciate. It was bold but balanced and immediately set the standard. The Tequila Ocho Blanco was brighter and more delicate. I tasted fresh agave, citrus, herbs, and a clean mineral finish. What I enjoyed most was how crisp and expressive it was. It felt lighter than the Fortaleza but still had plenty of character. This is a great choice for someone who wants a blanco that is refreshing, clean, and easy to sip. The Don Fulano 50 was another excellent recommendation. It came across smooth, rounded, and slightly softer on the palate while still carrying a strong roasted-agave flavor. I picked up pepper, light spice, and a subtle sweetness that brought everything together. It was approachable without being boring and had a pleasant finish. Each pour had its own personality, and Lorenzo chose three tequilas that gave us a real comparison. We stayed until around 2:30 in the morning because we were having such a good time. Unfortunately, getting back to our hotel became difficult. We tried ordering an Uber, but our driver was unresponsive and the situation became frustrating that late at night. This is where Alberto from the bar went far beyond what we expected. He stepped in, helped us call a taxi, spoke with the driver, and even negotiated a fare that was around the same price as the Uber. He did not have to do any of that, but he made sure we had a safe and reasonably priced ride back. That kind of hospitality says a lot about the people working here. Rita’s Tiki Room deserves recognition because the team created a complete experience. Lorenzo made our tequila tasting fun, educational, and personal. Alberto made sure our night ended safely and without us being taken advantage of on the taxi fare. The service never felt forced or transactional. Everyone treated us like guests they actually cared about. The total for six quality tequila pours was €86, which felt fair considering the bottles, service, atmosphere, and overall experience. We came in looking for one of the best tequila selections we could find during our night in Milan, and our final stop delivered exactly what we were hoping for. Thank you to Lorenzo, Alberto, and the entire Rita’s Tiki Room team for taking such great care of us. Great tequila, knowledgeable bartenders, a beautiful crowd, an energetic late-night atmosphere, and hospitality that continued even after we paid the bill. This was easily one of the highlights of our night in Milan, and I would absolutely return. Ask about the tequila bottles you cannot see, trust the bartenders, and let them build a tasting for you. Five stars and truly grateful for the experience.

Just go in! Feeling an Island vibe? Why not? This place has great drinks, apertivos and a chill vibe with great bartenders. Order anything on the menu and it is beautiful. Will definitely be back again!

Rita’s Tiki Room is a must-visit every time my friends and I travel to Milan. It’s become a tradition for us. The bar itself is absolutely beautiful, with such a fun and vibrant atmosphere, and the staff is always incredibly kind and welcoming. The drinks are excellent—and definitely on the strong side, which we love. But the real standout is the pork gyoza dumplings. Hands down the best I’ve had and an absolute must-try if you come here. Amazing drinks, great food, and an unbeatable vibe. We’ll keep coming back every trip.
