Excelsior Hotel Gallia is my home in Milan, and it gets better every single time I come back. The staff treat me like family from the moment I walk through the door. They remember my preferences, they anticipate what I need, and nothing is ever too much trouble. The panoramic suite is stunning. Floor to ceiling views over the city, beautifully finished, and the outdoor terrace is the highlight. Morning coffee or an evening drink up there with Milan spread out in front of you is hard to beat anywhere in Europe. The location could not be better. You are right at Centrale, which makes trains, the airport, and the rest of the city effortless, and you are still minutes from everything worth seeing. The breakfast is genuinely one of the best in the world. Not an exaggeration. The quality, the variety, and the service all match anything I have experienced at the top hotels anywhere. The spa is a wonderful feature as well and a perfect way to reset after a long travel day or a full day of meetings. Five stars without hesitation. If you are coming to Milan, stay here.
My stay at Hotel Excelsior Gallia in Milan was outstanding and truly lived up to its reputation. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and well cared for. Special thanks to Jonas, Matteo, and George at the front desk for their warmth, professionalism, and help throughout my stay. The bell staff also provided excellent service, making arrivals and departures smooth and pleasant. The housekeepers were equally impressive, keeping my room spotless and comfortable while being attentive to every request. Dining at Terrazza Gallia was exceptional. Marta, Giuseppe, and the entire restaurant team were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, and the chef kindly came out at our request, which made the experience even more memorable. Their hospitality was a highlight of my visit. Overall, the hotel is beautiful, elegant, and delivers the high level of service expected of a luxury property. The only area that fell short was the spa reception. The black woman at the desk when I arrived was not particularly attentive, which stood out against the otherwise excellent service throughout the hotel. Despite that one interaction, my overall experience was excellent, and I would gladly stay at Hotel Excelsior Gallia again. I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. Every member of the staff was warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming. I arrived in Milan earlier than expected, and Elena made the check-in process seamless and effortless. Each morning, Ilaria greeted us with joyful energy and provided attentive, exceptional service during breakfast. Their hospitality made my stay even more enjoyable. I would gladly stay at Excelsior Hotel Gallia again without hesitation.
I recently stayed at the hotel. Overall the hotel is a true five star with exceptional attention to their guest and superb service. What also impressed me is their onsite restaurant on the ground floor. I dined in there twice and the food was so fresh / flavorful. Highly recommend. A few cons: Breakfast options were limited although they are fresh. Separately when I check in, the front desk didn't suggest to make a reservation at the restaurant on the 7th floor, they were fully booked by the time I want to try. There's also all day shuttle to the Duomo. The driver was awesome.
