Description

Our driver will meet you in Milan at the pick-up point (in front of the Mc Donald’s in Duomo square) at 8.30 and you will reach Bergamo in a comfortable minivan. Our professional tourist guide will then walk you through some of the hidden gems in the upper town - that is, the historical part of Bergamo. We will walk up and down on a paving stone. Among others, you will be able to see the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore (and I can assure you won’t regret entering it), the Old Square, the Colleoni Chapel, Cathedral, one of the oldest Townhall palaces in Italy, the Corsarola street…you name it! After feeding your brain with plenty of information, it’s time to feed our stomach. Let your guide accompany you in one of the restaurants locals usually go to. Here, along with the usual customers on their lunch break, we will get a taste of Bergamo typical food and get to know a little more about what the typical products of this land are. We will have a set-menu lunch with two courses or pizza, a glass of wine or beer, and coffee (Italian style!). After lunch, we will meet the driver who will drive you straight to Scanzorosciate, where the owner of the winery will explain the making of Moscato, a wine with controlled and guaranteed denomination of origin - it can only be grown on these hills! Then you can sit back and relax, watch the landscape and finally taste it! After this, you will be driven back to Milan at the drop-off point (in front of the Mc Donald’s in Duomo square), in the late afternoon.

Important Information

• Please bear in mind that the Old Town is medieval, that means we will walk a little (not extremely) up and down and the pavement will be made of stones. Dress consequently. Drinking water is available in the many fountains you will find in Bergamo Old Town, apart from the small water bottles you will find in our minivan. The set-lunch menu does include vegetarian and vegan options (they are there, but vegan ones are not many), but we cannot guarantee the total non-contamination of food in the kitchen should you be food-allergic to anything.
