Service was great. Hotel has a charm—it’s older. Great location. Only thing I would change is the breakfast. It was very underwhelming, scrambled eggs are watery. Breakfast just felt cheap. We came from Palazzo Tiglio which is a tiny hotel w amazing breakfast, so I had high expectations.
The Grand Hotel et de Milan is a truly special hotel—historic, elegant, charming, and located in one of the best possible spots in Milan. You can walk to the Duomo, the Galleria, La Scala, Via Montenapoleone, and many of the city’s best restaurants and shops within minutes, yet the hotel itself feels remarkably peaceful and removed from the crowds. The property has a sense of history and character that cannot be manufactured. This is not a generic luxury hotel that could be located in any major city. The beautiful public rooms, traditional furnishings, historic details, and slightly old-world atmosphere give it a personality all its own. Giuseppe Verdi famously lived here for many years, and that history remains a meaningful part of the hotel’s identity. Jerry’s Bar also became one of our favorite places during the stay, largely because of Alessandro, the bartender. He is warm, engaging, professional, and exceptionally good at what he does. He remembered our preferences, made excellent recommendations, and created the kind of relaxed and welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to return every evening. He is a tremendous asset to the hotel. The concierge team and doormen were equally impressive. They were polished without being stiff, consistently helpful, and always seemed genuinely pleased to see us. Whether arranging transportation, offering restaurant guidance, or simply helping us navigate the city, they provided the type of gracious and attentive service one hopes to receive at a hotel of this caliber. Our stay was not entirely without some glitches. A few unexpected issues arose, as they occasionally will during any extended trip. What ultimately distinguished the Grand Hotel et de Milan, however, was how those problems were handled. General Manager Alfredo Petrone personally took the matters to heart. He listened carefully, accepted responsibility where appropriate, addressed every issue directly, and made certain that the resolutions were both meaningful and complete. His generosity in resolving the situation honestly surprised even us. We travel frequently and have stayed in many excellent hotels throughout Europe and elsewhere. Experience has taught us that even the finest properties will occasionally encounter a problem. The real measure of a hotel is not whether something unexpected happens, but how its leadership responds when it does. Mr. Petrone handled everything with professionalism, grace, urgency, and genuine concern—in spades. Because of him, and because of the exceptional staff throughout the hotel, we left with a very positive impression and would gladly return. The Grand Hotel et de Milan offers an extraordinary location, fascinating history, genuine charm, and—most importantly—a team that truly cares about its guests.
A jewel that reminds us excellence can truly be achieved. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely special. The Grand Et De Milan is perfectly located, surrounded by wonderful shops and easily accessible, making every part of our stay effortless and memorable. Our large room had everything a traveler could wish for: a truly comfortable bed, a spacious closet, and a beautifully equipped bathroom. The quality of the bedding and towels was top‑notch. The hotel is meticulously decorated, with every detail thoughtfully considered, and the staff is simply wonderful.
This hotel was our favorite part about Milan! Excellent service all-around, great restaurant, bistro and bar, and stunning interior design throughout the hotel. It was like stepping into a luxurious and elegant oasis. We also tried room service for breakfast and once for dinner, and were very impressed how beautifully presented everything was. Best decision to book this hotel!
☕️🍪🏩 I visited this hotel specifically to enjoy a coffee, and it turned out to be a lovely experience. I ordered a cappuccino, and the flavor was smooth, well-balanced, and clearly made with high-quality beans. It had that perfect harmony between rich espresso and creamy milk. The pastry 🍪and chocolate 🍫served alongside the coffee were a delightful touch. Both were fresh and delicious, adding an extra layer of indulgence to the experience. The service was attentive and professional, and the atmosphere was truly beautiful, elegant, calm and perfect for enjoying a quiet coffee break. ☘️✨💙
