Had a wonderful business lunch here. The atmosphere was great, and the staff was really nice, helpful, and attentive. The freshly baked breads were so special And I loved their olive oil. For main course, I got a steak with pepper sauce and the taste was wonderful. I had a really exceptional experience here!
A little gem in the heart of Milan. I was welcomed by a staff that was attentive, professional, and always helpful. Despite my rather demanding requests, the service was impeccable and handled with great courtesy and expertise. The tip is already included in the bill, but it is definitely worth leaving a little extra to acknowledge the excellent service. A special thanks to Martina, who truly stood out for her professionalism and attention to detail.
It’s strange, but in recent years I’ve often felt like I’m being ripped off. We visited the bar in this new hotel, and the shockingly poor quality of the finishes and furniture was immediately obvious. I don’t know who handled the renovation or what the budget was, but it all looks like a cheap Chinese knockoff. Add to that the fact that the waiters automatically include a tip in the bill (mind you, there is generally no tradition of tipping in Italy), and the picture is complete.
I was at Ristorante Spiga 8 one evening when chef Fulvio Pierangelini was there. I rediscovered the chef's verve that I had somewhat lost over the years (I'm referring to his kitchen stints at the Hotel de Russie and the Hotel de La Ville in Rome). The dishes at Ristorante Spiga 8 are extraordinary, the result of a magical combination of ingredients, colors, and flavors. The setting is elegant without being overbearing, and the service is impeccable.
