Served in a small glass bowl under warm, amber bar-light, these taralli arrive looking humble — almost austere — but they deliver that unmistakable Southern Italian charm. Each ring is compact, slightly irregular, and pleasantly firm to the touch, suggesting the crunch-forward texture that taralli lovers expect. The first bite confirms it: a dry, clean snap that doesn’t crumble into dust but breaks with intention. There’s a subtle richness in the dough, just enough olive oil to round out the edges, and tiny flecks hinting at herbs or perhaps black pepper. The flavor is restrained — not trying to impress with boldness but instead playing its role as a quietly addictive companion to a drink. Exactly what a bar snack should do. They’re not overly salty (thankfully), and the mild savoriness makes them ideal between sips of wine, beer, or a Negroni. You can easily imagine these coming from a local Pugliese bakery rather than a factory bag — rustic, a bit uneven, each one slightly different, and better for it. Verdict: A simple, honest bar snack that punches above its weight. If you’re the type who enjoys foods that reward slow, habitual nibbling, these little rings will disappear faster than you expect. Perfect with alcohol, dangerous with an empty stomach, and quietly delicious.

I think the bar itself is very good, but I wouldn’t come back to this area in the evening, too many people talking too loudly. The waiter in this bar was very nice, and hugo was good.
