Location is great and practical. Rooftop and Communal kitchen are nice. People working there were friendly, some miss to speak English who can be an issue at the bar or for the breakfast. The luggage room isn’t free anymore, they installed lockers and they are way too expensive, as a client of the hostel the luggage room should be included. They should offer male only dorms like for female.
Ostello Bello Grande I only stayed here for a few hours before my flight going to another city. I was assigned at the highest bunk bed. I booked a 5-people sharing with bathroom inside. It was an okay experience since I didn’t stay that long. The check-in process is easy and staff are helpful. The downstairs area is a bar so expect people are noisy outside at least past 12am. The location is near the bus station and the main subway line so it’s easy to navigate towards the city. Great location!
I stayed in a 6 bed dorm room . It was fairly basic but for the price was reasonable value. The hostel has so much going for it - all the social areas are fantastic - beautiful terrace/ seating areas, etc , great vibe. could so easily have been 5 stars . Unfortunately it was let down by a lack of air conditioning in the room. AC was clearly advertised on their website but in my room the AC would only turn on for 2 minutes then turn back off and the timer settings were locked with a password. I raised this issue 3 times with the staff at the front desk but nothing was done and one staff member said ' it was because of the government' which was comical as other people had working A/C, One night it was so warm I felt like I was sleeping on an oven and it was completely unbearable. The mini light by my bed also did not work. I would happily stay here again in the cooler months as I did like the hostel otherwise, and the location is perfect for being right by the station. I would not risk staying in summer as I cannot trust the A/C.
I had a fantastic stay at Ostello Bello Grande in Milan. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help with anything we needed. The rooms were spotless and exceptionally well maintained, which made our stay very comfortable. What really stood out was how thoughtful the hostel was. They had everything we required and plenty of extra touches that made the experience even better. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into making guests feel at home. I would highly recommend Ostello Bello Grande to anyone visiting Milan. Great atmosphere, excellent cleanliness, and outstanding hospitality. I would definitely stay here again!
It's obviously a hostel concept, but security was surprisingly top-notch and made us feel very safe throughout our stay. We chose the private room for three people, basic but adequate for what we needed. Cleanliness wasn't perfect, but it was acceptable and not something we had major complaints about. The staff were the highlight of the experience: chill, attentive, friendly, and genuinely nice people. One thing to note: avoid staying here if you're a light sleeper. We could hear people doing karaoke at around 4 a.m., which might be a deal breaker for some guests. It's very close to the train station which is a plus point for us!
